Buy 2DXY SiteSurvey tools for sketchup

Barry Milliken is the developer of 2DXY Site Survey Tools. This exclusive sketchup plugin can be used to draw site surveys efficiently.

2DXY SiteSurvey is specifically designed for comparatively small (under 50 acres) building parcels or subdivisions. For large scale geographic mapping, state plane coordinate systems are required.

It can also be used for generating plot plans for building permit requirements.

The plugin is compatible with Sketchup Make and Pro 2016 and 2017 versions.

The plugin offers the following exclusive features :-

Draw the boundaries of any site and label them precisely.
Draw one or various land parcels out of a surveyor’s field notes or survey drawing.
Design several parcels in a subdivision.
Transform an imported CAD file into a survey drawing that is perfectly annotated. (SketchUp PRO only)
Draw Surveys keeping dimension in meters or feet.
Provide support to Quadrant Bearings and Azimuth Bearings

The plugin can be purchased for $25.00 from extension warehouse extensions.sketchup.com

Blank Slate SketchUp Plugin

Blank Slate SketchUp Plugin is the newest sketchup extension that can include two individual features to sketchup. This plugin is compatible with SketchUp 2016, SketchUp 2017.

Feature #1 — 2D Nesting for SketchUp: the process becomes simpler to arrange the designs for laser cutting.

Export flat pack parts for 2D nesting to generate an improved SVG file for laser cutting. The automated nesting facilitates greater effectiveness by packing collectively 2D shapes for laser, plasma and water cutting. Nesting refers to a method for placing shapes firmly to reduce waste as well as fabrication time. The plugin can offer a quick solution for utilizing material in an efficient manner.

Feature #2 — Import 2D sketches from sketch iPad app.

Here, iOS sketch design tool, Zotebook, identifies your rough 2D sketches and converts them into accurate CAD files for laser cutters or 3D printers. This plugin facilitates the users to import files from Zotebook into SketchUp for the purpose of 3D editing.

The newest Helix tool can easily transform your sketchup model to Revit

This sketchup video tutorial is based on Helix, the newest sketchup to revit tool that can easily transform any sketchup model to revit geometry devoid of apply Dynamo.

Helix is developed by EvolveLAB. With Helix, the users will be able to export sketchup design models and consequently import the model into Revit. This tool applies an easy and intuitive mapping system to be utilized for each model.

Just map your sketchup file with the helix interface and change the sketchup materials & components to authentic revit geometry along with walls, doors, windows, roofs and curtainwalls.

How to apply domelight and HDRI in vray 3.4 sketchup to set sky

This sketchup v-ray tutorial is based on the process to set sky with domelight and HDRI in vray 3.4 sketchup.

Dome Light produces simple, artifact-free image-based lighting with significance sampling of HDR images. This method makes light tracing and global illumination process accurate.

The VRay Dome Light belongs to a V-Ray specific light source plug-in that is applied to generate image base lighting setup.

It is available in v-ray toolbar as dome light icon. Just click on it and then click any place in the scene to arrange the dome light.

HDRI means High Dynamic Range Imaging. It is a method that creates a bigger span or range of luminance amid the light and dark areas of an image.

In V-Ray for SketchUp, the HDRI can be applied both as a background and an IBL (Image Based Lighting). If HDRI is applied as background, just load it in the Environment Rollout/Background. If it is required to use it as an IBL, then just load this HDRI in the GI (Skylight). It will transform to a light source then to illuminate the scene.

Download AB3D Plugin for SketchUp

AB3DLabs has developed AB3D plugin for sketchup. This plugin can transform any two or more 2D drawings, demonstrating various views of a 3D model, into an accurate 3D model with the help of special attributes that it contains devoid of missing dimensions or either the 2D drawings match/fit one another. The plugin can easily & rapidly convert any unclear design concepts into professional 3D models.

This feature provides great advantages toward both the 3D modeling and 3D printing industries, whether for individual users or professional firms or companies.

AB3DPlugin for SketchUp contains a very user-friendly interface that facilitates the designer to imagine in 2D and integrate his 2D projections into a 3D new model, thus extending the scopes for imagination and creativity in design.

The plugin is compatible with SketchUp2015, 2016 and 2017 versions.

Download Medeek Foundation Plugin for SketchUp

Nathaniel P. Wilkerson has developed Medeek Foundation Plugin for sketchup. This SketchUp Plugin contains a user-friendly interface for generating perfect 3D foundation and footing geometry inside sketchup.

This plugin employs the SketchUp Ruby API programming interface. The plugin supports the up-to-date SketchUp releases (SketchUp Make 2016 64-bit and SketchUp Pro 2016 64-bit) together with earlier versions (2013, 2014, 2015).

Presently, the plugin facilitates the development of the types of foundation given below (Metric and US/Imperial):

  • Slab on Grade (Rectangle,Polygon) [with garage curb and internal footing options] • Stemwall (Rectangle) [with brick ledge and internal footing/floor beam options] Footing types: • (Under Construction) Engineering (US/Imperial): • (Under Construction) [ACI 318-14 Building Code Requirements for Structural Concrete]

By applying industry standard practices, all the foundation types are drawn/designed. Supplimentary foundation types and footings are in the way of being included together with the supplementary features like reinforcing bar.

The users can utilize this plugin to generate either a rectangular or irregular (polygon) shaped foundation plan. If you select the rectangular foundation, the outline can be described by just choosing three points which create the bounding rectangle (bldg. width x bldg. length) of the foundation.

The Medeek Foundation Plugin facilitates the users to perfectly illustrate standard concrete foundations, footings and flatwork inside SketchUp and substantiate their architectural models in a superior way.

Engineering: In future, the foundation plugin, will be incorporated with the Medeek Footing Calculator and deliver engineering data for particular common footing types.
